Match Results & Fixtures:

Coolquill A.C.

Last Sunday the County Novice B cross country was hosted by Moyne Athletic club over an

excellent course. We had nine men taking part which was a great achievement for us. Donal Horgan went straight to the leading pack and remained up there for the entire four lap circuit. He was joing leader going out on the final lap, and though hard as he tried, he had a terrific run to finish second. The rest of the lads were putting in amazing performances, as Dermot Logue put in a great sprint for fourth, and not that far behind came Michael Carey in eighth with another strong run. With three to score , the lads were rewarded with a brilliant team title. A great result. We had more great running from the rest of the boys as Matt Alexander came through for tenth and Joe Keaney in 12th and a big effort from Jack Alexander in 19th. These lads were just outside the team medals in fifth place. Our other three fellows were Andrew Galloway 22nd, Martin Ivors 23rd and Jim McDonnell all with tough running behind them in very cold conditions. Our next outing will be the County Senior cross country on the 18th December staged by the Dundrum club.
