The club
started the year with the under 14 championship in April. They competed very
well in the championship and reached semi final place. The fourteens played the
league and had some fine games and reached a county final but were beaten by
Shannon Rovers. The under 14 team showed some fine skill and spirit throughout
the year.
The under 12 team games were played on a new structure and were
called go games. The girls played various teams. Ballingarry camogie hosted an
under 12 blitz and had seven visiting teams. A most enjoyable
day was had by all the girls and all who competed received medals. The
under 12 girls played league and they reached a county final and were beaten by
Kildangan. The under 12 team showed great skill and determination throughout
the year.
The under fifteen girls had a league and
we reached semi final place.
The under
16 championship began in August, we competed very well but did not reach semi
final place .Our club was represented at county level by three girls from the parish under
fourteen by Lily Dalton, under fifteen Orla Butler and under sixteen by Jenny
Logue who captained the under sixteen Tipperary team to victory in the All
Ireland.
